Weightwatchers

3 weeks ago I joined weightwatchers. This isn't the 1st time I've joined but this time I tried the CORE plan. They have two plans...flex and core. Flex lets you eat whatever you want but you have to track points (which I suck at) while Core gives you specific foods to eat and all that you track are how hungry/full you get. You can eat as much as is needed to be full but not stuffed. And you do get 35 bonus points to use if you go off plan.

Today was weigh-in day and I've lost 13.4 lbs. This is amazing for me and I feel so good about it.

I've also started to follow cflyrun's Fitness program. I didn't get in on it in time to actually participate but I'm hoping to start to fit this sorta lifestyle into my life. It is awesome that cflyrun has started this. There was a lot of thought put into it and it is very easy to follow and very doable. I feel that if I take small steps that way then I'll be successful. Before it has always been either do it all or don't do it at all and then I usually ended up failing. I'm determined to make this work. I have a long long way to go before I get to my desired weight whatever the hell that is. It's so far out there that I don't even think about it. I'm just concentrating on getting to the 1st 10% and then to the second and so forth.

So, while this isn't actually agility/dog related directly, it is indirectly as I need to be the handler that my dog deserves.

I know RRR will "yell" at me for this, but ditto what AgilePaws said ;-)

I love WW and I really need to rejoin again. I know what you mean about being a handler your dog deserves :-)

You know it is one of incentives. God knows, I wouldn't totally be doing this for just me.

I lucked out because we have WW meetings at work so it makes it easier to attend and my support group is all co-workers.

That must be nice to have WW meetings at work.

BTW, my daughter and granddaughter live in American Fork....is that far from you?

It is probably at least 70 mins away from me. You should come visit and attend one of our agility trials. We have a couple not far from there in Pleasant Grove. Your daughter will know where I am talking about :-)

I know, I've thought of it. And from what I hear those clubs put on nice trials. The main thing that keeps me away is the heat!!! Just can't handle 100° weather combined with dog agility. And yeah, they have winter trials too but then it's so blasted cold.

I like my fair weather here in the NW.

SWEEET!! good on you. And yep, having meetings at work is a huge bonus.
I'll make sure not to bring you any more pie...hehehehe

No more pie, please!!! Just way too tempting. Although the hardest thing for to resist is chips. I love chips. More than sweets.

Yes, I admit...I'm a carb food junkie.

Congrats my friend!!! I won't bring you pie either...and I'm only taking salad to the trial...no moho this trip! (augh--but you won't be there!) We will miss you--keep up the good work, and we will celebrate with a beautiful salad and fish come summer!

Awesome! Good for you. I've wanted to do WW, but am seriously lacking both funds and moral support at home. Meetings at work would be amazing, but not happening here. One day I'll get it together. Keep posting to get me inspired....please! I need inspiration :-)

Thanks....I really feel like this time I can be successful. But then I haven't come up on 'that time of the month' when all the cravings start. I do know that there are definite no-no's that I can't induglge in one tiny bit or I'll crumble....like chips...I LOVE CHIPS.

Before I started here at work I had signed up on-line. On-line has a ton of stuff. You can find all the info that you would get at a walk-in meeting including chatrooms for support. You can track, find recipes, etc. plus it is cheaper than having an actual live support leader.

I remember that your significant other is a very good cook so that makes it harder. My husband used to do most of the cooking but I sorta took over so that I can plan easier meals for me.

Thanks again.

A preschool teacher at work and her husband did weightwatchers. She lost 40 some pounds and her husband lost like a 130lbs on it!! Meetings at work would be wonderful! Praying strength and perseverance for you!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!

Wow - maybe I need to do that. I have avoided "plans" my whole life but since I turned 40 I just cannot get the last 12 pounds off - even with the "Youtube Jiggle" motivation.

You should give it a try and if you only needs to lose 12lbs then that's nothing. I warn you though....Wine is not on the menu!!!
